New ✨
HLS support added to Caption Editor
We've added HLS support to the Caption Editor media player, allowing users to play media from live and real-time streams. Previously, this wasn't possible due to a "file type not supported" error. This update enhances the experience for our Webapp users.
New Webhook for Transcript Version updates
Following the new integration of Trint and Mimir, users can keep transcript data in sync. It is essential for features like search and video captions, and this webhook ensures Mimir can automatically update whenever a new transcript version is available.

Mobile app safety improvements
We’re clearing a transcript metadata cache when the user logs out of the app. This ensures that all the data is securely saved inside the app.

Faster Realtime switch
We've introduced a new polling mechanism that detects when a transcript is no longer live with a notification to "reload" the editor. This process seamlessly transitions the editor from live to non-live mode, unlocking additional features without requiring a full refresh. Previously, collaborators weren’t notified when a Realtime session ended, and users had to either continue in the limited live editor or manually refresh to access the full feature set.

‘Find’ feature for Mimir plugin
To ensure faster work inside Mimir, Trint users can now use the ‘Find’ feature in the Trint editor embed plugin. Users of Trint in Mimir can now quickly find quotes in transcripts to create cuts and add them to video/audio productions.
